Tennessee State University’s College of Engineering, in partnership with the STEAM Sports Foundation and HBCUGo TV, proudly presents the inaugural Women in Automotive and Motorsports (WAM) Summit, a premier event designed to inspire the next generation of female engineers. The summit will bring together college students, industry leaders and innovators to explore career opportunities in the automotive and motorsports industries.

Created to empower, educate, and connect aspiring female engineers, the WAM Summit offers hands-on experiences, networking opportunities and direct access to professionals shaping the future of mobility and motorsports. The summit aims to bridge the gap between women and the automotive industry. While women make up more than half of the U.S. population, they remain significantly underrepresented in these fields, comprising just 24 percent of the automotive workforce and less than one-tenth of one percent of engineers in professional motorsports. The WAM Summit is committed to changing that by equipping participants with the knowledge, confidence and professional connections needed to succeed and lead in these dynamic industries. 

Students from engineering programs across the region as well as, any female student pursuing automotive or motorsports engineering, are encouraged to attend.
